Get Movin’ open house Wednesday
An open house for Get Movin’, the countywide children’s summer exercise program that provides prizes to children and teens who are active for 30 minutes five times a week, is set for noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lions Hall at Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett.

Discuss Camano’s water systems
A Camano Water Systems Association meeting is planned for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lost Lake Community Club House, 1469 Lake Drive on Camano Island.
Guests from the Department of Health will discuss drinking water and ways to reduce arsenic in the water systems.
Regular garbage collection Monday
Waste Management will offer regular garbage and recycling collection service Monday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Collection times vary, so put your containers out early.
Healthy Kids Day today in Everett
Imagine Children’s Museum holds Healthy Kids Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at 1502 Wall St., Everett.
The event includes free health and vision screenings and advice on nutrition and fitness. Kids can make a healthy snack recipe book. Organizers also plan to hand out free child identity kits.
General admission is $7.

Holiday closures scheduled Monday
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday. Here are some resulting closures:
Government: Federal, state and most local offices will be closed.
Schools: Closed.
Post offices: Closed, although Express Mail service continues.
Commerce: Most businesses will be open, but most banks will be closed.
Transportation: Community Transit and Sound Transit will be on regular schedules, but some commuter routes will be canceled. Everett Transit will be on a regular schedule.
