Boys hurt in crash in stolen car near Gold Bar

GOLD BAR — A 16-year-old boy driving a stolen vehicle that crashed into a tree Monday morning suffered critical injuries.
He was being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Tuesday, Snohomish County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. His 15-year-old passenger was treated at a hospital and released. Both boys are from Gold Bar.
The crash occurred at 6:15 a.m. on Reiter Road . Sheriff’s investigators are looking into the crash and the stolen vehicle, Hover said. As of Tuesday, they had made no arrests or citations.
