Jobless poster child bad example

I am getting tired of the press trying to shove the “set up” kindness of President Obama down our throats.
We all know by now the Henrietta Hughes town meeting story out of Fort Myers, Fla., last week. What most people don’t know is that while the White House and the Obama-loving press are holding this woman and her son up as symbols of how the economic downturn has made them homeless and jobless, our current economy had nothing to do with their situation.
Why don’t you print the truth? The Tuesday article by Chris Jenkins of The Washington Post is about how this economy is forcing more families to seek out shelter. This economy had nothing to do with Ms. Hughes and her son’s problems — she said she has been homeless since 2003.
Do you honestly think that this woman was placed in the front row of this town meeting by accident? This was all set up in advance, kinda like all those “fainters” at his campaign stops last summer. Notice that the fainting stopped once this trick was questioned? Don’t get me wrong, Ms. Hughes has had a tough time and I do feel for her, but don’t make her the poster child for this economy.
Yes, I am a Republican and I did not vote for President Obama. No, I don’t have much faith in Nancy Pelosi’s American Recovery &Reinvestment Act signed by President Obama Tuesday. I do, however, hope that at some point soon, he will stand on his own two feet, and tell his “people” to let him make his own decisions for what is truly best for this country. We all need something good to happen soon.
