Marysville: Food bank donations match

The Marysville Food Bank has received a pledge for matching donations in March and April from an East Coast philanthropic organization.

The Feinstein Foundation of Rhode Island has pledged to match every dollar or pound of food collected by the food bank from March 1 through April 30, up to $40,000.

The foundation, run by Alan Shawn Feinstein, has pledged to divide $1 million among food banks nationwide in March and April.

The food bank, at 4150 88th Street NE, is open for donations from 8 to 11 a.m. every day except Sunday and Wednesday. It’s also open from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays.

Anyone donating cash in the next two months is asked to specify that the donation is part of the Feinstein Campaign. Donations may be sent to P.O. Box 917, Marysville, WA 98270.
