Pedestrian hit by vehicle south of Mukilteo late Thursday night

A pedestrian suffered a serious injury when hit by a vehicle in the 5800 block of 148th Street SW, south of Mukilteo, just before 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The injuries were serious enough the person would likely be taken to Harborview Medical Center’s regional trauma center in Seattle, said Lt. Rodney Rochon of the Sheriff’s Office.
No further information on the person’s age or gender, or nature of the injuries or cause of the accident, was immediately available.
The accident was reported by a neighbor who heard a crash, Rochon said. Police were on scene and investigating the accident, he said.
