Create way for citizens to give

We have heard about our two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, our war on drugs, our state of war on the economy, Main Street vs. Wall Street. We have borrowed funds from China, Japan and other countries around the world to finance these endeavors, I have not yet heard of a fund-raising effort called “war bonds.”

I recall it raised a lot of capital during World War II. Shouldn’t our civilians be doing their part? I, for one, would welcome the opportunity to make a contribution.
