Arlington: Library offers bird sketch class

Enjoy bird watching?

Friends of the Arlington Library and Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation offer a free class for those ages 8 and older who want to learn to draw birds.

Taught by Molly Hashimoto, the class is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the library, 135 N. Washington Ave.

Silvana: Pancake breakfast Saturday

The Silvana Firefighters Association plans to serve pancakes as a fundraiser from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at Viking Hall on Pioneer Highway in Silvana.

Stanwood: Garden event at fairgrounds

The 14th annual Garden Faire, featuring local plants, crafts, garden art and food, is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Stanwood Camano Fairgrounds, 6431 Pioneer Highway.

Stanwood: Little League needs helpers

It’s baseball and fastpitch softball season, and Stanwood Camano Little League is looking for adult helpers.

Stanwood: High school needs help with projects

Stanwood High School is looking for adult volunteers to serve as panelists for senior project presentations, a requirement for graduation.

To participate, volunteers must fill out an application at the school or at the school district office and contact Rona Olson at rolson@stanwood.wednet.edu.

The presentations are set for April 20 and 21, with morning and evening sessions.
