Arlington: Vegetable gardening class
Master gardener Bea Randall plans to talk about growing your own groceries at a session at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Arlington Community Garden at the corner of Second Street and Washington Avenue, across from the Arlington Library.
Those who participate can tour the community garden and then follow Randall to her own garden for a look at watering systems, compost making, transplanting, mulching and new research regarding organic versus conventional gardening.

Camano Island: Be on lookout for bikes
A bike ride called the Camano Climb is 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on Camano Island.
The ride begins and ends at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 NE Camano Drive.
Drivers are asked to use extra caution Saturday.

Stanwood: Fundraiser benefits Relay for Life
A rummage sale and car wash to benefit the Stanwood-Camano Relay for Life teams is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 9923 270th St. NW.
The local Relay for Life and celebration honoring cancer survivors is set for May 29 and 30 at Stanwood High School.

Stanwood: Book sale benefits library
The annual Stanwood-Camano Friends of the Library book sale is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Stanwood Library, 9701 271st St. NW.
The preview sale for members of Friends of the Library is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Memberships are available at the door. People who want to contribute books for the sale are asked to bring them to the library this week.
Friends of the Library was organized to promote use of the Stanwood Library.
