ARLINGTON — The family of an 89-year-old Arlington man who was held in a Mexican prison wants to thank the community for its support.

The public is invited to attend a reception to welcome Ed Chrisman home planned for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Arlington Heights Community Hall, 12221 228th St. NE, Arlington.

Chrisman, a long-time resident of Arlington, arrived home last week after enduring 65 days locked up in a Mexican prison.

Cake, ice cream, punch and coffee will be served. Chrisman will be telling stories and giving an update on his grandson, who is still being held in a Mexican prison awaiting a trial this month.
