MARYSVILLE — Marysville police on Wednesday seized more than 60 marijuana plants growing in a home where they were investigating a child pornography case.
Police searching the home in the 8600 block of 74th Drive NE found the grow operation in a secret room reached through a concealed door in a closet, said Cmdr. Ralph Krusey. The plants’ street value is estimated between $30,000 and $60,000. Detectives also found marijuana packaged for sale and delivery.
Police had a warrant to search the home in an alleged case of possession of child pornography. Detectives will continue to investigate both the child pornography case and the marijuana growing operation, Krusey said.
