Child injured in fall from third-story window in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — A toddler was rushed to a hospital Sunday afternoon after falling from a third-story window.

Medics were called to a house near the intersection of 210th Place SW and 13th Place W. just before 3 p.m. after the child fell out of a window, Snohomish County Fire District 1 Battalion Chief Gary Kestle said.

Medics rushed the child to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The child’s condition and injuries were not available Sunday night.

Even if people have screens on their windows, it’s easy for a child to push through and fall down, Kestle said. “It happens every time the weather turns good.”
