EVERETT — Detectives were hoping to interview a 21-year-old Everett shooting victim after surgery Friday.
They want to learn more about a Thursday night incident that left the man with gunshot wounds.
Police received several calls about the shooting around 7:45 p.m. in the 9200 block of Evergreen Way. Witnesses told police multiple shots were fired after men in separate vehicles met in a vacant lot, police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Officers arrived at the scene but saw no suspects or victims. A short time later, the injured man and his girlfriend were located at a gas station on W. Casino Road.
Police said they believe two parties were meeting regarding the sale of a car.
The motive for the violence was very unclear, Goetz said. No arrests have been made and police do not believe the shooting was random.
