Air Force Airman Anthony D. Tucker graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Joseph Tucker of Everett and Catherine Peers of Port Orchard. The airman is a 2008 graduate of Central Kitsap High School, Silverdale.

Air Force Master Sgt. Wendylea Dehart has been named the Air Mobility Command Outstanding Aeromedical Evacuation Staff Noncommissioned Officer of the Year. Selection was based on the individual’s exemplary duty performance, job knowledge, leadership qualities, teamwork, significant self-improvement, personal achievements, notable accomplishments, and community service and support. Dehart is section chief of aeromedical mission support and control assigned to the 618th Tanker Airlift Control Center at Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, Ill. The master sergeant has served in the military for 18 years. She is the daughter of Leland and Barbara Dehart of Lakewood. The sergeant is a 1989 graduate of Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood and a 2003 graduate of the Community College of the Air Force, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.

Army Pvt. Autumn L. Hangartner has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the daughter of Paul Hangartner of Marysville, and a 2006 graduate of Everett High School.

Army Pvt. Hannah R. Pomeroy has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the daughter of Laura and stepdaughter of Frank Sullivan of Langley and Bruce M. Pomeroy of Sedro-Woolley,

Army Reserve Pvt. Jonathan D. Chittim has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Chittim is a 2006 graduate of Coupeville High School.

Navy Seaman Laura A. Armstrong, daughter of Valerie and Sam Armstrong of Mukilteo, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Armstrong is a 2004 graduate of Bremerton High School.
