BOTHELL — A Bothell man was hurt Friday after he caught a man burglarizing his home.
The homeowner, 40, was watching TV about 2:15 p.m. in the 18800 block of First Avenue SE when he went into another room and spotted the stranger loading items into a bag, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
That’s when the stranger attacked the homeowner, hitting him on the head and leaving a gash, Hover said.
The burglar ran, and deputies tried to track him down with a police dog.
The suspect is described as white, clean-shaven and in his 20s. He’s about 6-foot-1 with a muscular build and light brown hair.
The homeowner was taken to Stevens Hospital for treatment. He’s expected to recover, Hover said.
