Planners hope for Father’s Day sun to let cars shine

The celebration of Father’s Day and the tradition of summer car displays continue to be a popular combination. Come Sunday, Bothell’s Country Village will offer its 13th annual Father’s Day Car Show.
The show, intended to please visitors of all ages, is free both to spectators and those entering cars.
Cars may be entered up until 9 a.m. on the day of the event. As of the first week of June, about 100 entries were confirmed.
From noon to 3 p.m., visitors can feast their eyes on the entrants’ prized possessions, and ask questions of the owners, while also listening to live music provided by Gold Rush Band.
The events runs from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Country Village, 23718 Seventh Ave. SE (Bothell-Everett Highway), Bothell; 425-483-2250; www.country villagebothell.com.
