Marysville driver hospitalized after truck strikes tree

SMOKEY POINT – Medics this afternoon tried to revive an 84-year-old man whose pickup truck crashed into a tree.
The Marysville man was eastbound on Highway 531 just after 4 p.m. when his truck left the road and struck a tree near Lake Ki, Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said. Witnesses told troopers the man was going no more than 25 miles per hour. He man had suffered a medical emergency before the accident, Leary said.
Medics performed CPR and rushed the man to an Everett hospital, Leary said. The man was in critical condition at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett’s Colby campus.
