Woodstock stories?

We are looking for people with stories about the legendary 1969 festival at Max Yasgur’s farm near Bethel, N.Y,

With the thousands who attended, surely there are folks in Snohomish or Island county with good Woodstock stories, whether or not they were there slopping around in the mud.

Pioneers honored in Mukilteo: Mukilteo’s 2009 Pioneers of the Year, Alice Marie Andersen and Phyllis Sherar Anderson, will be the honored at the Mukilteo Historical Society meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Art Room at the Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave. in Mukilteo.

The public is invited and refreshments will be served.

Speak out on health care: Rep. Rick Larsen, D-Wash., is scheduled to discuss congressional Democrats’ proposals for reforming the nation’s health care insurance system at a town hall-style meeting Wednesday in Everett.

The hour-long event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. in the Weyerhaeuser Room of the Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave., Everett.
