Langley event tackles social media: Where is this headed?

An event in Island County is breaking down social media for the novice.
The Sept. 19 event is aptly titled “New Media 2012: Where the hell is all this headed, anyway?”
Organizer Russell Sparkman, a Langley city council member and owner of Fusionspark Media, describes it this way: “Our event is based on the premise that Facebook barely existed for most people just 3 years ago, and the majority was clueless about Twitter only 3 months ago. Ten presenters will look at the future of New Media, over the next 3 years, and describe what they see as the directions things are headed in.”
Though the event has a corporate sponsor, the cost still runs between $20 and $50, depending on what parts of the event you attend. More info is available here.
