STANWOOD – An autistic teen missing since this afternoon has been found safe.
Zane Williams, 15, of Stanwood, left school at some point today and wasn’t accounted for, Snohomish County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. He has a high-functioning form of autism.
Police were called shortly after 3 p.m. The city of Stanwood contracts its police services through the sheriff’s office.
The boy was found safe in the Marysville area about 7 p.m. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
“We are relieved to have a happy ending to this story,” Hover said.
