Lake Stevens: Teen support group starting

Support groups addressing issues of dating, respect and domestic violence for teens ages 13-17, are now available at the Lake Stevens Family Center.

Groups could be scheduled for Tuesday evenings or Tuesdays after school, depending on needs and interest.

The Teen Dating Support group will be facilitated in partnership with YWCA and Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County.

Senior center to offer a holiday bazaar

The Lake Stevens Senior Center has scheduled its annual holiday bazaar for Nov. 14.

The event is planned for 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the senior center in Eagle Ridge Park, 2302 Soper Hill Road.

Featured items are expected to include antique jewelry, handmade finger puppets, scrubbies, “quillows,” hats, glass and wooden gifts.

Homemade baked goods and lunch are planned.

Monroe: 2 openings on city’s ethics board

Two vacancies need to be filled on the city’s ethics board, a panel that investigates and renders advisory opinions on accusations of ethical wrongdoing by city officials.

To apply for a spot, send a letter of interest to Mayor Donnetta Walser, attention Eadye Martinson, City of Monroe, 806 W. Main St., Monroe, WA, 98272.

Provide information on your education, past experience and the reason for your interest.

Applicants must have lived in Monroe for at least a year, and will be contacted for personal interviews.

Mountlake Terrace: Learn to move with Zumba

Learn the basics of Zumba in an introductory class with Jenny Ferreira, a certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer at 10 a.m. Saturday Nov. 7 at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W., next to City Hall. The free class is sponsored by the Friends of the Mountlake Terrace Library.

Mukilteo: Craft show aids scholarships

The 17th annual Mukilteo Schools Craft Fair is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday in the Voyager Middle School commons, 11711 Fourth Avenue W., in south Everett.

The event will feature almost 70 vendors selling a range of handcrafted wares, including holiday items.

Organizers are seeking a 50-cent donation for admission to the fair.

The craft fair is organized by the social committee for Mukilteo School District employees.

Proceeds support a scholarship fund for students at Kamiak High School, Mariner High School, ACES High School and the Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center.
