Arlington: City offers photography classes
Learn to take outdoor photos with your digital camera — and market them — in a class with photographer Kent Baker.
Sponsored by Arlington Parks and Recreation, the class is set for 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 3 and 4, and 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 5, in the Hadley Hall community room next to the Arlington Boys &Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave. NE.
This is part of a series of photo classes offered by the city and Baker.

Toys for Tots run planned for Dec. 5
Today is the deadline to get a break on the cost of participating in the Greg Woodman Memorial Toys for Tots 5K Walk or Run and 10K Run, set for 11 a.m. Dec. 5 at the Stillaguamish Athletic Club, 4417 172nd St. NE, Arlington.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.
Register today for $15 at www.arlingtonrunnersclub.org. Registration on race day is $20 between 9:45 and 10:45 a.m.

Granite Falls: Story time for preschoolers
A story time event for children ages 3 to 5 is set for Monday at the Granite Falls Library.
The free event is 11 a.m. at the library, 815 E Galena St.
Story times feature stories, songs, finger play and rhymes geared to help young children become ready to read.

Marysville: Conflict resolution workshop
A workshop in conflict resolution is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the Marysville Library, 6120 Grove St.
The workshop is aimed at helping parents and children learn strategies to resolve conflict without being aggressive or violent, and to discover the difference between discipline and conflict resolution.
The workshop is sponsored by KCTS Channel 9.
