Tips on TV: it’s official

Well, the WHL and FSN finally signed off on a deal that apparently had been agreed to in principle a long time ago, meaning FSN will televise 10 games involving U.S. Division teams. Three of those will be Canadian Shaw broadcasts picked up by FSN, while the other seven will be produced by the American outfit.
As regular readers here are probably aware, this hasn’t exactly been a state secret. This is the exact same schedule I reported nearly two months ago after finding it in an ad in the WHL media guide.
And it’s good news for Tips fans. Everett’s will be on TV five times this season, with four of those games being road games (meaning no need for internet feeds, and a more complete live blog from me for three of those). For those of you fired up to get on TV as a rabid Tips fan, the Feb. 12 home game against Spokane is the one to get geared up for.
