Published 6:28 pm Saturday, January 2, 2010

EVERETT

Forward lines:

Maxwell-Froese-Tochkin

Harper-Langkow-Dailey

McCrea-Cumiskey-MacDonald

Elynuik-McGrath-Hunt

Defensive pairings:

Rissanen-de la Lande

Theriau-Kulchar

Bonar-Sohor

Starting goalie:

Simpson

Scratches: Gudas, Minville, Winquist, Iwanski, Murray.

Notes: The interesting change is seeing Zack Dailey moved from center to right wing and placed on the line with Shane Harper and Chris Langkow, with Harper switched to the left. There’s a creative attempt to fill that spot. Clayton Cumiskey takes Dailey’s spot at center on the third line. Center D.Jay McGrath returns to the lineup after missing two games with a knee ailment. Defensemen Radko Gudas (World Juniors) and Ryan Murray (U-17s) remain on international duty, while Dan Iwanski is expected to miss about a month because of a sprained MCL.

TRI-CITY

Forward lines:

Prokop-Feser-Holland

Macek-Reddick-Messier

Hughesman-Shinnimin-Lazo

Wilgosh-Drozd-Moser

Defensive pairings:

Mestery-Plouffe

Sutherland-Schmidt

McIntosh-Dow

Starting goalie:

Pechurskiy

Scratches: Toll, Castro, Yuen, Kennedy.

Notes: Tri-City plays without its captain, defenseman Jarrett Toll, for undisclosed reasons. Goaltender Alex Pechurskiy makes his second WHL start. The Russian, who joined the Americans during the Christmas break, shut out Everett in his WHL debut Tuesday.
