BOTHELL — Washington State Patrol troopers said a man apparently died during a medical emergency and crashed along I-405 Thursday morning.

A 2007 Acura was in the northbound lanes near Bothell-Everett Highway around 5:30 a.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle, trooper Keith Leary said.

The vehicle hit the left guardrail and ricocheted back into traffic before stopping near the shoulder, he said. No other vehicles were involved.

Aid crews were unable to resuscitate the man, 64, of Mukilteo. It appeared he had some kind of medical problem, Leary said.

Traffic was slowed because of the large number of emergency vehicles in the area.

The man’s identity was not immediately released.
