Everett at Seattle: lineup notes

Published 6:17 pm Friday, January 8, 2010

EVERETT

Forward lines:

Maxwell-McGrath-Tochkin

Harper-Langkow-Dailey

Winquist-Cumiskey-MacDonald

Elynuik-Giebel-McCrea

Defensive pairings:

Murray-Gudas

Rissanen-de la Lande

Theriau-Kulchar

Starting goalie:

Heemskerk

Scratches: Minville, Froese, Iwanski, Sohor.

Notes: Center Byron Froese misses tonight’s game because of a family commitment, meaning D.Jay McGrath slots in with the artists formerly known as the Kid Line. Josh Winquist, who scored his first career WHL goal in Wednesday’s 6-2 victory at Kelowna, retains the left wing spot on the third line. Left wing Campbell Elynuik returns from missing that game because of an unspecified injury, and call-up center Tyler Giebel makes his WHL debut. Left wing Dan Iwanski remains sidelined with his knee injury.

SEATTLE

Forward lines:

Rai-Nielsen-Wells

Rouse-Lockhart-Silvester

Lund-Alos-Elliot

Sentyurin-Jacobs

Defensive pairings:

Schappert-Warg

Dillon-Ramsay

Bonsor-Fleming

Aasman

Starting goalie:

Pickard

Scratches: Tutt, Acolatse, Muth.

Notes: A familiar face is absent for Seattle as tough guy winger Sena Acolatse was traded to Saskatoon (how many fighters does one team need?) today for winger Burke Gallimore. Gallimore is still in transit. Another newcomer, defenseman Ryan Aasman who was acquired Wednesday in a trade for Jonathan Parker, makes his Seattle debut as the T-birds dress seven defensemen. Forward Brenden Silvester returns after missing 29 games because of a lower-back strain.
