Supporting levy will help community

I am writing to let you know what my experience has been with the Mukilteo School District.
Prior to our move from California, I only had one son. I did a lot of research, and found out that the Mukilteo School District had the best grades in every aspect. That is why we decided to move to Mukilteo. I can honestly tell you that both sides of the district are totally awesome.
My older son spent his first seven years in the San Francisco school district, and what a breath of fresh air, when we moved up here and my older son was able to attend Columbia, Harbour Pointe, and then Mariner.
I had my second son in 1993. He attended Olivia Park, Explorer, and now Mariner. My younger son has been fortunate to be in honors and AP classes, and his teachers are unbelievable. (They actually care.) I cannot express how grateful I am. Every one of my younger sons teachers have been awesome, from elementary to high school. I also want to recognize the administrative office, from the principal to the front desk. All of the office staff at all three schools are caring people and I am very grateful and appreciative for our fortune.
I am pleading with everyone within our district to please vote “yes” on our two levy measures on the Feb. 9 ballot. As a property owner, this seems hard, but our community will gain so much from this — jobs, jobs, and jobs. This will help our home values increase; people will want to have their children attending Mukilteo schools. This is an investment in our community and our future!
