Dan Iwanski and Chance McKinney in the same post?

Published 3:51 pm Tuesday, January 26, 2010

A couple quick things today:

– Dan Iwanski has begun skating on his own, but has not rejoined practices yet. The left winger, who is recovering from an MCL sprain in his knee, is not expected to be available for this weekend’s games.

– Everett doesn’t play until Friday and has just two games this week, giving the team a chance to catch its breath. The Tips better enjoy their four-day respite because it’s their last breather of the season. Everett has mid-week games from here on out and plays at least three times in each of the final six weeks.

– If you’re a country music fan, get to Friday’s game early as Chance McKinney will be performing on the concourse prior to the game. McKinney is the Kamiak High School teacher who won CMT’s Music City Madness singer/songwriter contest. The concert begins at 5:45 p.m. The University of Washington softball team, the 2009 national champion, will also be honored during the game.
