Turkish Airlines plans to order 20 Boeing Co. 737 airplanes, the carrier said today.
The carrier will take delivery of those single-aisle aircraft between 2011 and 2014, reports Reuters.
The fast growing airline wants to grow its passenger numbers by 20 percent this year.
Prior to the Turkish Airlines announcement, Boeing’s total order count through Jan. 26 stood at 10 (an order from Ethiopian Airlines). The company updates its orders Web site on Thursdays.
