Lights, camera, action

We’re a day away from Comcast Arena hitting the small screen here in the U.S. For the first time the Tips will be hosting a game that will be broadcast on American television when Everett takes on the Spokane Chiefs tomorrow night. The game will be live on FSN for those who can’t attend the game. For those who are attending, this is a chance to show the region what the Silvertip fan base is all about. Ian Furness, the play-by-play announcer for the television broadcast, was sitting next to me in the press area during Wednesday night’s game, and he’s expecting the atmosphere to be the best of any game FSN has produced so far this season. Time to prove his prediction right.

Unfortunately, I was unable to get enough response to put a fan story together, so I’ve improvised something different for tomorrow’s paper. The crazy fan story will just have to wait until a later date.

The other bit of news was that there was a Dan Iwanski sighting at practice today. He wasn’t a full participant and he’s still doubtful to play this weekend, but he’s now within sight of returning from his knee injury.
