Volunteer: Hospice and home care session planned
A free information session to review the volunteer opportunities at Providence Hospice and Home Care is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. March 17 in downtown Everett.
Those who are interested in attending should register and receive driving and parking information by March 15.

Register: Spring at Camp Killoqua
Camp Killoqua offers Spring Break Day Camp for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Camp Killoqua, operated by Camp Fire USA Snohomish County Council, offers year-round programming focused on youth including summer resident and day camps, outdoor education, leadership programs and retreat space. Campers can experience games, crafts, boating, songs, teambuilding exercises, hikes and cookouts.
Spring sessions are March 29 through April 2 and April 5 through 9. Fees are $190 per week. Bus transportation is available.

Taste: Celebration shows off local flair
Camano Action for a Rural Environment plans to host its second annual celebration of local growers and culinary artists on Saturday with a food and wine tasting at the Camano Community Center.
Chef Greg McCammond of the Bistro at Camano Island Waterfront Inn B&B will lead the event, which will feature Taylor Shellfish Farms oysters and Penn Cove mussels. He will arrange pairings with wines from the six local wineries. There will be musical entertainment and a silent and dessert auction.
Tickets for those 21 and older are $50 and can be purchased at Snow Goose Bookstore, Diamond Knot, or by calling Tammy Finn at 360-387-3356.

Learn: History of Interurban Trolley
A free presentation about the history of the Interurban Trolley will be given on Saturday at the Everett Library auditorium.
When the line began service in the spring of 1910, it cut through lengthy tracts of uninhabited acreage. Historic Everett will commemorate this centennial with a slide presentation at 2 p.m. by David Dilgard of the Northwest Room of the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett.

Donate: Pet food drive in Maltby
Ann Chase Photography recently teamed up with Marvin Versteeg, owner of Sit Means Sit Dog Training, to host a “Who Let the Dogs Out” pet food drive benefiting Maltby Food Bank.
The pet food drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday is to keep the food bank from running out of food to give pet owners in need.
Ann Chase Photography, located on Highway 9 SE in Woodinville, will provide pet portrait sessions, dog training evaluations and training tips to those who donate.
Pet food donations are also accepted at Bridges Pet Store, 2929 Bickford Ave., Snohomish.
