Man dies following leap from overpass

EVERETT — An Edmonds man died Wednesday after he apparently jumped from an overpass near the Everett Transit Center, police reported.

Witnesses saw the man, 29, fall from the Pacific Avenue overpass around 9:40 a.m., Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.

He was rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett where he died, Goetz said.

The man was not immediately identified.
