WEST LINN, Ore. — Police in the Portland suburb of West Linn are investigating a jewelry store robbery that began when three people dressed as ninjas ransacked a house after tying up the woman who lives there.
When the woman’s husband arrived home, the robbers forced him to drive to his jewelry store in Clackamas, which they proceeded to clean out.
West Linn police spokesman Sgt. Neil Hennelly said that after robbing Rick Rogoway’s store, the thieves drove him home and tied him up before getting away in his car.
Rogoway and his wife were able to free themselves and call 911 from a neighbor’s home late Thursday.
The stolen car is a silver BMW with Oregon plate WPR139.
