Everett: Get colorful, march in a parade
The city of Everett is now accepting applications for this summer’s Independence Day parade, set for 1 p.m. July 4 on Colby and Wetmore avenues between 26th and Wall streets.
This year’s theme, the Colors of Freedom, celebrates diversity. The city wants entries that represent your heritage and culture and symbolizes what America means to you.
They also want entries with real entertainment value such as colorful displays with music, dance or drill.
All parade applicants will be reviewed by the parade committee and will be selected based on the following criteria: creativity, enhancement of the parade theme and incorporation of music or sound.
Applications and details are available online at www.enjoyeverett.org. Applications are due May 15. Accepted vendors will be notified by June and will receive additional information.
