Fire districts 1 and 7 to discuss merger again tonight

EVERETT — Leaders of Snohomish County fire districts 1 and 7 are scheduled tonight to discuss a potential merger of their operations.

The meeting is 7 p.m. at Fire District 1 headquarters, 12425 Meridian Ave. Commissioners for the two districts last met in Clearview on March 9.

Fire District 1, the county’s largest, provides service for about 220,000 people in south Snohomish County.

Fire District 7 serves about 60,000 people in southeast Snohomish County.
