Airbus wins order for A330 Freighter

Airbus has received a new order from Malaysia Airlines for two of its A330 freighters, the company said today.

Malaysia Airlines and Airbus also finalized a previously announced deal for 15 A330 passenger planes.

“The latest order from Malaysia Airlines underscores the position of the A330 Family as the most efficient and versatile product line in its class,” said John Leahy, Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Customers.

Malaysia Airlines already operates 14 A330 jets and has six Airbus A380 jumbo jets on order.

Airbus plans to deliver the first of its A330 freighters later this year.
