GOLD BAR — A Gold Bar man was arrested Tuesday on allegations he atacked his girlfriend, shoot at her, choked her and kept her from leaving.
The man, 52, is a felon with a history of domestic violence, according to a police affidavit filed Wednesday in Everett District Court.
The pair reportedly had been drinking for days and had argued, police said.
The woman told police the man punched her in the head. She also said he fired a weapon, likely a .22-caliber pistol. She said the bullet missed her head by inches. The violence occurred over several days and ended when she left on Monday.
Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies searched the man’s home. They found evidence that a weapon was fired. They also seized what they described as a submachine gun, as well as two handguns, including a .22-caliber pistol.
The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
