Crews battle Lake Stevens house fire

LAKE STEVENS – Firefighters were battling a two-alarm house fire on the shores of Lake Stevens this afternoon.

The blaze, reported just after noon, was in the 11900 block of N. Lakeshore Drive, officials said.

A thick column of smoke was visible from a mile away. See a neighbor’s video of the fire here.

There were no initial reports of injuries.

Firefighters were forced to take a defensive stand, meaning they could only battle the blaze from outside the home and work to prevent the fire from spreading.
