Lake Stevens burglary suspect is still on the loose

LAKE STEVENS — Police on Monday still were looking for a burglary suspect who got away Friday.

A neighbor called police Friday morning after she saw someone trying to kick in a door in the 2800 block of 107th Avenue NE. Nearby schools were put in lockdown for a short period of time while police searched for the suspect with dogs.

Detectives are investigating whether the incident is connected to other burglaries in the area, Lake Stevens Police Chief Randy Celori said on Monday.
