Lake Stevens church damaged in fire

LAKE STEVENS — Fire investigators on Wednesday were trying to determine what started a fire at an unoccupied church.
Firefighters arrived about 4 p.m. to find the building in the 2100 block of 88th Avenue SE on fire, Lake Stevens Fire Department Deputy Chief Dave Lingenfelter said.
About 35 firefighters from several different departments worked to put out the flames. Nobody was injured.
The building, Seattle Christian Retreat Center, is in a cul-de-sac at the end of a long dirt road. It’s listed for sale on Craigslist.
