Verizon Wireless customers might find it easier to talk on cell phones due to a new cell site tower near Everett.

The tower should improve the quality of calls and other cell services for customers in the Everett area, according to the wireless company.

“This network enhancement is part of Verizon Wireless’ consistent, aggressive multi-billion dollar network investment each year to stay ahead of the growing demand for the company’s voice and data services,” according to a statement from Verizon.

Last year, the company spend $71 million to bolster covering in Washington. Over the last ten years, service enhancements in the state totaled $907 million.

The installation of the new cell site in Snohomish County will also improve wireless service along Stevens Pass Highway.
