SULTAN — Detectives are asking the community to help to find a man wanted on a federal felony warrant.

Anthony Shyanne Jones, 26, is believed to be staying in the Sultan area, where he grew up, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said Tuesday. He may be armed.

The U.S. Marshal’s Office has a warrant for Jones’ arrest. He was convicted of a felony weapons violation, an offense connected to a 2007 burglary at a Monroe business, Hover said.

The case was handled on a federal level because the burglary involved the theft of a large amount of weapons.

Jones also has convictions for fourth-degree assault and harassment, Hover said.

Sheriff’s deputies last week served a warrant at a Sultan apartment where they believed Jones may have been staying. He wasn’t there.

Jones is 6 feet tall and weighs about 235 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He also has a large tattoo on his neck of an American Indian sitting on a horse. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
