Herald columnist Muhlstein to speak on KSER

A conversation between Herald columnist Julie Muhlstein and KSER’s Ed Bremer will air from 3:06 p.m. to 4 p.m. today on 90.7 FM. Bremer is the news and public affairs director at the Everett-based independent public radio station. Listeners will be invited to call and ask questions during the program.

Muhlstein will talk about how she chooses topics and her perspective on the role of a local newspaper in today’s media environment.

Peace vigil in Everett: Members of Everett Peace Action plan to hold a peace and justice vigil at noon Saturday at the Everett Mall, 1402 SE Everett Mall Way, in the northwest area of the parking lot. Bring your own sign or make one with materials available at the vigil.

Everett Peace Action aims to create and participate in peace activities around Everett.

Going with Gusto!: Everett Community College will host its Gusto! fundraiser Saturday. There will be food, wine and microbrews from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center, 2000 Hewitt Ave. in Everett.
