Boeing supplier shifts workers off 787 program

Spirit AeroSystems plans to temporarily shift employees from working on the Boeing Co.’s 787 program.
The move is being made following the Nov. 9 electrical fire onboard a Boeing 787 test plane. Spirit’s workers in Wichita, Kan., build the 787 nose section a fuselage section. Spirit is shifting its workers to the 737 program.
Boeing says that it has found the cause of the fire but its test fleet remains grounded.
Boeing has not provided a new delivery schedule for the 787.
