EvCC helps host a blood drive

Everett: EvCC blood drive Jan. 19 and 20

The Everett Community College Student Activities Health and Wellness Program and the Puget Sound Blood Center are planning to host a blood drive Jan. 19 and 20.

The blood drive is scheduled from 8:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. both days at Everett Community College’s Jackson Center, 2000 Tower St.

To make an appointment to donate, sign up at Student Activities in Parks Hall, Room 209 or call Student Activities at 425-388-9561. Walk-in donors also are welcome.

Pilchuck Audubon to discuss foothills

The Pilchuck Audubon Society will host a meeting to discuss the state Department of Natural Resource’s proposed plan for Reiter Foothills.

The meeting is to encourage the community to participate in the comment period for the environmental study and to discuss environmental concerns with the proposed motorized trails.

The meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m., Friday, at the Firefighters Hall, 2411 Hewitt Ave.

Snohomish: Watch a free movie at library

The Snohomish Library will screen the movie “Toy Story 3” at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The library is at 311 Maple Ave. All ages are welcome. Movie snacks will be provided.

Monroe: Band seeks musicians

The Monroe Concert Band seeking new members.

All kinds of musicians are welcome. The only requirement is the ability to read music scores. Trumpet players, clarinet players and percussion players are encouraged to apply. Musicians under 18 need adult permission.

Island County: Volunteers needed

Island County officials are looking for volunteers willing to help do the business of the county.

The county has openings on its Board of Equalization, Ferry Advisory Committee and Joint Administration Board. The deadline for applications is Feb. 7.

Sultan: Free workshop for entrepreneurs

The city will host its first of four business workshops on entrepreneurial planning, at 8 a.m. Friday at the Visitors Information Center, 320 Main St.
