State of Stanwood
The Stanwood Chamber of Commerce’s January general meeting features Stanwood Mayor Dianne White and her annual state of the city presentation.
The meeting is set for 11 this morning at the Stanwood-Camano School District administration building, 26920 Pioneer Highway.

It’s almost cookie time: Girl Scouts are taking orders for cookies by phone through Jan. 23.
Cookies ordered during the pre-sale will be delivered to customers in late February.
Don’t worry if you don’t get an early call. The young ladies will sell their annual products outside supermarkets Feb. 25 through March 13.
OLLI-UW meeting: Attend an Osher Lifelong Learning Institute—UW information meeting at 4 this afternoon at Paul Allen’s Flying Heritage collection, 3407 109th St. SW in Everett, at Paine Field.
It’s offered by the Carl Gipson Sr. Center of Everett.
It’s free for those 50 and older who wish to learn about a variety of short courses planned for the Winter Quarter. There are no tests.
