Everett: Student technology on display

Celebration of Innovation, showcasing the work of students and technology, is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Cascade High School gym, 801 E. Casino Road.

The annual event is a time for students, parents, staff and the community to learn and enjoy some special projects students have created using technology.

Mountlake Terrace: Meet with city officials

The public is invited to join city officials for a cup of coffee and talk city business Feb. 2.

The event is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. at the Recreation Pavilion Center Court, 5303 228th St. SW.

Participants are encouraged to ask questions, provide input or just listen to the conversation.

Sultan: Comment on water conservation

The city wants to hear from the community about ways to reduce water consumption.

Sultan will present its proposed goals to use water efficiently at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall chambers, 319 Main St.

Among the proposals is to eliminate the current base allowance and charge residents for all water use.

The public will be able to comment after a brief presentation. The goals are available in the City Hall, the Sultan library, and the city’s website at www.ci.sultan.wa.us.

Chamber hosts second business workshop

People interested in launching a new business are invited to attend the second workshop on entrepreneurial planning.

The workshop will start at 8 a.m. Friday at the Sultan Visitors Information Center, 320 Main St.

Cost for the workshop is $25. The cost includes a workbook on starting a new business.
