Wanted: Fly kids
For the fifth year, the Cascade Warbirds are accepting scholarship applications.
Apply for either Private Pilot Ground School and Introduction Flights or a trip to Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture Aviation Camp 2011 to be held in Oshkosh, Wis.

Wear pink tonight: Arlington and Lake Stevens high schools plan to promote the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life during the boys basketball game at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Arlington High School, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd.
Coaches, players, referees and cheerleaders plan to wear pink for the event. Sports fans are encouraged to wear pink or their Relay for Life team shirts.
Be a teacher: Sno-King School Retirees are again offering four scholarships to graduating seniors of Edmonds, Northshore and Shoreline school districts who are planning a career in education.
The scholarships are for $1,200 each and that amount is renewable for three years as long as the student continues to meet the scholarship’s criteria of a career in education.
One student will be chosen from each of the three school districts with one at-large award. Applications are due March 18. Students can see their high school counselor or scholarship chairman for more information and can also access the application forms at www.sksr.org.
