Saudi airline upgrades 777 interiors

Saudi Arabian Airlines has redone the interiors of its fleet of long-haul 777s, modernizing the seating and, in some cases, reconfiguring seat classifications.
The Boeing Co.’s aviation services group performed the work in 23 of the airline’s 24 777-200ERs, the company said today in a news release.
Eight of the jets feature the airline’s new business market configuration with 24 first class, 38 business class and 170 economy class seats.
The remaining jetliners are in a new high density configuration that accommodates 14 business class and 327 economy class seats.
The new Avio Interiors offer widescreen displays at each seat with on-demand movies, music and games and also provide a laptop power connector, USB port and RCA jack, Boeing said in the release.
