Students of the quarter named at AIM High School

Max Northrup-Hawkins and Yosie Machuca-Garin were named students of the second quarter at Snohomish’s AIM High School.

The Rotary Club of Snohomish honored the two at a breakfast meeting at Collector’s Choice Restaurant in Snohomish recently.

Stanwood students honored by Rotary Club

Kale Jeffcott, Kendra Bottenberg and four other students from the Stanwood-Camano Island School district received the student of quarter award from the Stanwood Camano Island Rotary.

Mukilteo students celebrate Lunar New Year

Harbour Pointe Middle School celebrated the Lunar New Year on Feb. 3 with the help of their Korean Family Connection parents.

Principal Nikki Cannon and students dressed in traditional costumes and explained how the holiday is celebrated in much of Asia.

Students of Korean and Chinese background talked about how the holiday is celebrated in those countries.

Snohomish student named to dean’s list

Martina Gordillo, of Snohomish, has been named to the Hardin-Simmons University dean’s list for the fall semester.

Mukilteo student on Eastern Oregon dean’s list

Kayla Rust, of Mukilteo, was named to the dean’s list at Eastern Oregon University for the fall term of 2010.
