Airbus orders in the negative through February

Airbus finished the month of February in negative order territory.

The jet maker took in several cancellations last month, leaving it with three more cancellations than new orders. Airbus has 40 gross orders through the end of February but it has logged in cancellations for 18 A320s, 13 A330s and 12 A350 XWBs.

The Toulouse, France-based jet maker delivered 40 aircraft last month, it said in an update posted on the Airbus Web site Thursday.

Its rival, the Boeing Co., is expected to update its orders and deliveries totals through February later today.
